Mercedes-Benz E-Class All Terrain launched in India at Rs 75 lakh

Mercedes-Benz E-Class All Terrain launched in India in E220d 4MATIC variant and it gets a BS-VI compliant engine.

Mercedes-Benz E-Class All Terrain launched in India at price tag of Rs 75 lakh (ex-showroom). The estate version of Mercedes E-Class comes competing with Volvo V90 Cross Country. Available in E220d 4MATIC variant, the Mercedes E-Class All Terrain is capable to go off-road thanks to its extra ground clearance of 35 mm and AWD system as well.

The Mercedes-Benz E-Class All Terrain gets a typical SUV like front grille, a tough body and a 19-inch large alloy wheels. So far, the estate looks very powerful and muscular compared to its sedan version, on which the E-Class All Terrain is based. The car offers 1,820 litre os storage capacity at the back, which is massive. The space can be increased by folding the rear seats.

Power source for the Mercedes-Benz E-Class All Terrain is an OM654 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine coupled with a 9G-TRONIC automatic gearbox. The engine kicks out 191 bhp of power and 400 Nm of massive torque. Power is sent to all the four wheels using the 4MATIC all-wheel-drive system. The engine is comp0liant to the upcoming stringent BS-VI emission norms, but it can run on BS-IV fuel. This is the third car by Mercedes Benz to come with BS-VI emission norm compliant engine after the S-Class facelift and new C-Class.
