Hyundai Santro BS6 prices revealed, starts from Rs 4.57 lakh

The Hyundai Santro BS6 prices have been increased up to Rs 27,000. Top Asta variant gets AMT

As everyone knows Hyundai is readying the new Aura compact sedan on the 21st January 2020, the company is also planning to launch the BS6 version of its entry-level hatchback, Santro soon. The Hyundai Santro BS6 prices are out now, but there is no word as of yet when the car will be available for purchase. BS6 compliant Santro to start from Rs 4.57 lakh ex-showroom which comes with a generous hike of Rs 27,000.

The Magna variant sees a hike of Rs 22,000 and now priced at Rs 5.04 lakh while Magna AMT will set you back by Rs 5.53 lakh. Sports trim of the Santro BS6 carries a price tag of Rs 5.40 lakh and its AMT variant is price considerably high at Rs 5.98 lakh. TOp of the line variant, Asta sees a hike of Rs 22,000 and it’s now pegged at Rs 5.78 lakh. Till now, Santro Asta variant was not offered with an AMT automatic box but now it comes for Rs 6.25 lakh. All these prices are ex-showroom, Mumbai.

The engine which powers the Hyundai Santro BS6 is the same 1.1-litre petrol unit from the BS4 version which is tuned to develop 69bhp and 99Nm of twisting force. However, there is not word whether the power or torque figures have changed or not due to BS6 upgrade.

Speaking about the features, the Asta variants sport 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple carplay support. There is a rear parking camera with sensors, power-adjustable ORVMs, steering mounted audio controls and more. There is a driver airbag in the lower variants while dual airbags in the higher variants along with ABS with EBD, seatbelt reminder, high-speed warning system.

The Hyundai Santro BS6 fights with the Maruti Suzuki Celerio, WagonR, Tata Tiago in the market. Out of these, Celerio and Tiago are due BS6 upgrades while WagonR was updated long ago.
