2018 Porsche Cayenne has been launched in India at a starting price tag of Rs 1.19 crore (ex-showroom). Available in three different variants, the Cayenne also comes with E-Hybrid and Turbo trims. Arrival of the latest version of the flagship Porsche SUV in India right ahead of the festive season brings a bundle of excitement to the luxury car buyers.
The entire Porsche Cayenne range is priced between Rs 11,936,000 and Rs 19,210,000 (ex-showroom). Speaking about the latest version of the Porsche Cayenne SUV, it is based on a new lightweight chassis that ensures 65kg lesser weight. This makes the SUV more high performance capable without compromising the rigidity. It comes with a host of advanced technologies onboard that include 4D Chassis Control, triple chamber air suspension, electric 48volt roll stabilization and high performance Porsche Surface Coated brakes. All these technologies ensure a high level of comfortable driving experience.
The Porsche Cayenne is available in both V6 and V8 petrol engine options that churn out 335 bhp and 548 bhp respectively. Transmission duty is done by an 8-speed Tiptronic S gearbox. The top performer in the lineup, Cayenne Turbo can accelerate to 0-100 kmph in 3.9 seconds with Sports Chrono package at a top speed of 286 kmph.
Speaking about the launch, Porsche India’s director Pavan Shetty said, Cayenne has been one of the brand’s most popular models in India and the third generation version will continue this success story further. He also said the new Cayenne’s day-to-day usability and exceptional spread between driving dynamics and driving comfort are truly unique and this makes it more appealing than the previous model.
