2019 Ford Figo facelift launched at a starting price of 5.15 lakh (ex-showroom)

The new 2019 Ford Figo facelift launched in India finally after waiting quite a few months. Pricing of the car has been announced at a range between Rs 5.15 lakh and Rs 8.09 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The top-end model is Figo Blu the premium version with 6-airbag, 15 inchers, and blue highlights. Looks excellent!

The Ford Aspire compact sedan, based on the Ford Figo was already launched and this time the American auto major rolled out the muscular hatchback with some well-deserved update. The 2019 Ford Figo facelift carries a host of changes across exterior and interior alongside a set of new Dragon-series engines.

New Ford Figo Titanium

The new Figo facelift comes with design elements similar to the current Ford Aspire. There is a new revised front grille with chrome lining and honeycomb grille. The headlamps too appear slightly changed. Front and rear bumpers, fog lamp enclosures come with an updated look. The lower variants of the hatchback run on 14-inch wheels, while the top trim gets 15-inch wheels.

A big and refreshing change came in the interior of the new Ford Figo. There is a new big floating Ford SYNC3 touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. This touchscreen infotainment unit appears the same as the units available in Ford Freestyle and Ford Aspire. Apart from that, the start/stop button, improved quality seat and upholstery materials add zing to the cabin. No change has been made in terms of space, as the new 2019 Ford Figo facelift is dimensionally the same as the outgoing model.

On the powertrain front, the updated 2019 Ford Figo facelift is available with a 1.2-litre petrol engine, a 1.5-litre petrol engine and there is a 1.5-litre diesel engine as well. Transmission options include a 5-speed manual gearbox and a 6-speed automatic unit. The 6-speed AT is mated to the 1.5-litre petrol motor only. These Dragon-series petrol engines are claimed to be much more efficient than the outgoing model’s unit.

Not only looks, features and powertrain, the new Ford Figo is also well equipped on the safety front. It gets dual airbags, ABS, EBD as standard. Apart from that, there are class-leading six airbags in the top trim. Reverse parking camera adds more convenience.
