Maserati launched powerful V6 turbo petrol variants of Ghibli, Levante, and Quattroporte in India starting from Rs 1.31 crores
The Italian luxury car manufacturer, Maserati, has launched the new petrol V6 variants of all three of its cars in the Indian market. The company is moving towards petrol-only models for the year 2020 with the launch of new turbocharged V6 engines which are BS6 compliant.
The 2979cc V6 twin-turbocharged direct-injected petrol engine is good for 350bhp at 5,750rpm and 500Nm torque between 1750-4500 rpm. This tune is for the standard variant while the more powerful ‘S’ variant is tuned to develop more power of 430bhp at 5750rpm and even higher torque output of 580Nm between 2250-4500rpm. The engine is mated to an eight-speed ZF automatic gearbox.
The new V6 unit has a technological advanced valve control system with hydraulic roller finger followers and four-cam phasers. To keep the Maserati’s signature exhaust note, the exhaust system is controlled with pneumatic valves.

Maserati Ghibli V6 has priced at Rs 1.31 crores while the S variant will set you back by Rs 1.44 crores. The Levante SUV carries a price tag of Rs 1.42 crores for the standard variant and Rs 1.53 crores for S variant. Finally, the flagship model of the Maserati in India, the Quattroporte has priced at Rs 1.64 crores and Rs 1.73 crores for the standard and S variant.
All the three models have MTC+ infotainment system which comprises of an 8.4-inch touchscreen display with two rotary knobs on the centre console. The company says that it has worked on to improve the human-machine interface of the infotainment system by improving display graphics. The climate system ergonomics have also been improved.
There is also a wide collection of alloy wheels designed specially designed for every single Maserati model. A total of five brand new designs in the 20 and 21-inch sizes, two designs are for each of the Levante and Quattroporte models and one for the Ghibli.
