2018 Ford Aspire facelift

Ford Aspire facelift is ready for India launch on October 4, 2018 with a host of changes inside out.

Ford Aspire facelift is gearing up to hit the showrooms across the country on October 4, 2018. Ahead of that, the American auto major has commenced booking for the compact sedan at a price of Rs 11,000. Inspired by Ford KA+, the sedan boasts a host of changes inside out along with a new petrol engine. While in terms of design, the car will appear similar to the current model, a range of features will make it more appealing.

Speaking about the changes, the 2018 Ford Aspire facelift is coming with a revised front fascia thanks to an updated grille with plenty of chrome garnishing. The bumpers will don a new look, while the new alloy wheels will add zing to the sedan. Inside the cabin, the Ford Aspire facelift gets a touchscreen infotainment system, updated dashboard and improved seat and upholstery materials as well.

Speaking about another big change, the 2018 Ford Aspire facelift will come with a brand new Dragon series petrol engine. There will be a 1.5-litre three-cylinder petrol motor and a 1.2-litre three-cylinder diesel unit as well. Transmission options will include both manual and automatic gearboxes. Also, the updated Ford Aspire will offer improved fuel efficiency compared to the current model.

Interestingly, there is a CNG variant of the Ford Aspire is likely to make its way in the Indian market. Considering the growing demands from the fleet operators across the country, the automaker is aiming to grab a solid chunk in that category with the 2018 Ford Aspire facelift. A CNG variant will always lure the fleet operators over a petrol or diesel powered model thanks to the lower cost of fuel, specially in cities. This clever move could certainly help the brand to improve its sales figure in coming days. However, launch of the CNG variant of Ford Aspire is yet to be confirmed by the automaker.
