The customized Tata Safari Storme gets off-road bumpers, cage and rock slider, snorkel, steel rims and AT wheels

Tata Safari is a true blue Indian SUV that can actually take on any roads or none at all with equal ease. The beefy SUV has become the new chariot of Indian armed forces for certain reasons. Chandigarh based customization workshop Hybrid Customs has modified the SUV to a new level making it capable of hardcore rock bashing.

The customized Tata Safari Storme dons a dark maroon paint and the white chequered print on the bonnet adds zing to its visual appeal. The side profile too boasts some white decals adding sportiness to the car. To make the SUV truly off-road worthy, Hybrid Customs has equipped it with off-road bumpers, off-road cage and rock sliders. The Hella Comet 7000 lamps provide additional illumination in dark.

The steel rims and bigger AT wheels make the SUV more muscular looking. Also, they provide added grip and traction necessary for off-roading. The red rim decal gives it a sportier appearance. The modified SUV also boasts a snorkel, a must if the driver is driving it through some water body. So far, the SUV appears well capable of hitting the dirt and rocks.

It is not sure if the SUV’s powertrain has been re-tuned or not. The top-end trim of Tata Safari Storme gets juice from a 2.2-litre Varicor 400 diesel engine. Coupled with a 6-speed manual gearbox, this engine puts out 154 bhp of peak power at 4,000 rpm and 400 Nm of peak torque at 1,750 rpm. Also, the engine returns 13.9 kmpl of mileage.
