At a price tag of Rs 72.47 lakh (ex-showroom, India), it comes priced Rs 16.41 lakh cheaper compared to the CBU model the brand has been selling so far. Previously, the car was being sold at Rs 88.88 lakh (ex-showroom, India).

The Velar comes with a host of features that include a premium 380 watt Meridian sound system, quad-zone automatic climate control, cabin air ionization. LED headlamps and LED daytime running lights, parking assist technology are other features available in this model. Speaking about the engines, this SUV boasts a 2.0-litre petrol engine and a 2.0-litre diesel unit.

In the Indian market, the Velar competes with tough rivals like Jaguar F-Pace, BMW X6 and Mercedes-Benz GLE Coupe. Now, it is a question, will the British marquee be able to boost sales of the Land Rover Velar due to the new lower pricing? No matter what, it will draw the attention of more buyers for sure. In the coming days, we hope to see more localization of the car.
