Maruti Suzuki Baleno RS gets Rs 1 lakh discount on clear the stock
Maruti Suzuki’s premium car wing, Nexa has announced a massive discount on the Baleno RS. The discount is straight cut of Rs 1 lakh from the ex-showroom price. Earlier the price of Baleno RS was Rs 8.88 lakh ex-showroom and after this cut new price would be Rs 7.88 lakh ex-showroom. Speaking about the on-road price of the car, the new on-road price will be just above the previous ex-showroom price.
The car enthusiasts have a glorious chance to buy the turbocharged car with this offer. Maruti Suzuki Baleno RS is powered by a 3-cylinder 1.0-liter turbocharged direct-injected petrol engine. This powerplant offers 101bhp and 150Nm torque which makes it quite fun to drive and deliver exceptional performance on the road.
Baleno RS was launched in the year 2017 with high hopes to sell RS variant in India. However, people seemed to be more interested in the naturally aspirated 1.2-liter petrol engine as it was Rs 1.3 lakh cheaper than the RS variant. The Baleno 1.2 did all the things one would require in their daily life and also on the highways. Only very few ‘petrol heads’ might have considered the turbo Belen for the added premium.

Maruti Suzuki has taken the Baleno RS from their official website which certainly means that the company has made up its mind to discontinue the model in the country. This heavy discount exercise is to clear the existing stock which is eating dust in the warehouses of the Nexa dealers. The low sales plus no interest in the RS model will cause it to die out in the BS4 version only. Yeah, you read that, there will be no BS6 version of the Baleno RS in the future.
