2019 Maserati Quattroporte is here to topple the game

The new Maserati Quattroporte is here with a host of inside out changes, priced starts from Rs 1.74 crore

Maserati has launched the updated version of its Quattroporte luxury sedan in India. The 2019 Maserati Quattroporte comes carrying a host of changes inside out and it is priced from Rs 1.74 crore (GranLusso). Pricing goes up to Rs 1.79 crore (ex-showroom, Delhi) for the GranSport trim. The 2019 Quattroporte could become the new sensation in its category.

It competes with the Mercedes-Benz S-Class, BMW 7-Series and Jaguar XJL. Also, it will challenge the upcoming Audi A8. The new Quattroporte is available in two different paint options – Rosso Potente and Blu Nobile. Apart from that, other changes include Pieno Fiore full-grain leather upholstery, updated gear lever and new graphics at Maserati Touch Control Plus infotainment system. There are two different interior themes available – Carbon Fibre Twill and Wooden Rovere Veneer.

Maserati Quattroporte

The Maserati Quattroporte blends modern style and technology with the signature Italian elegance. The 2019 Maserati Quattroporte boasts an 8.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. It is mated to a 900 watt 10-speaker Harman Kardon audio system that comes as standard. Also, there is a 1,280 watt 15-speaker Bower & Wilkins surround sound system available as an option.

While the feature and design front have received these slight yet significant changes, mechanically the new Maserati Quattroporte remains identical to the previous version. It gets a 3.0-litre V6 diesel engine kicking out 271 bhp of power and 600 Nm of torque output. This engine is mated to an 8-speed automatic gearbox. A 3.8-litre 538 bhp pumping V8 petrol engine will be introduced to the car later this year. The Quattroporte diesel can accelerate to 0-100 kmph in 6.4 seconds at a top speed of 252 kmph.

Maserati has launched the Quattroporte with the expectation to see a better picture in the coming fiscal. With competitive pricing against the Mercedes-Benz S-Class, it could become a new sensation for sure.
