2018 Maruti Suzuki Ertiga could come with SHVS technology in both petrol and diesel variants.
2018 Maruti Suzuki Ertiga has been making quite some buzz in India for last couple of months. The MPV has been already launched in Indonesian market and it appears that the car will be introduced here by the end of October, right before Diwali. The new Maruti Suzuki Ertiga comes with a significantly updated design and fresh features as well. Also, it will be sold through the Nexa premium retail network.
The 2018 Maruti Suzuki Ertiga sports a new front grille with plenty of chrome bits. It is flanked by new swept back headlamps featuring projector lamps and integrated LED daytime running lights. The muscular front bumper gets black accents. Moving to side profile, the MPV has received new design alloy wheels, turn indicator integrated ORVMs, chrome finished door handles, black rear pillar giving it a floating roof theme. New taillights too are there that looks like inspired by Honda Jazz.
Inside the cabin, the 2018 Maruti Suzuki Ertiga gets a completely redesigned appearance thanks to the faux wooden trims on steering wheel and dashboard. The flat-bottom sporty steering wheel looks like taken from Maruti Suzuki Dzire, while the centre console features a large touchscreen infotainment system. Seat and upholstery materials come updated with improved quality materials.
Speaking about the power source, the 2018 Maruti Suzuki Ertiga will come with the same petrol and diesel engine currently available in the new Maruti Suzuki Ciaz. These 1.5-litre petrol and 1.3-litre diesel engines are likely to come with SHVS mild-hybrid technology, just like the Ciaz. Both the petrol and diesel variants will get manual and automatic transmission options.
