Rs 1.75 lakh discount on Harrier for Tata Motors dealers are trying to clear the stock before the year ends

Tata Harrier was launched this year with great optimism but all that went down the drain when MG Hector was launched in June followed by Kia Seltos in August. Harrier is a great SUV but lacks a petrol engine and option for an automatic transmission. Harrier is also priced a bit higher when compared to other SUVs in the segment.

At present, some Tata Motors dealers are giving away Harrier with a hefty discount of up to Rs 1.75 lakh on the ex-showroom price. That means the top variant of the Harrier which will set you back by Rs 20.47 lakh, can be yours for just Rs 18.7 lakh (on-road Delhi). The discounts on Harrier are being offered for many months now for the slowdown in the industry as well as due to festive season. However, this time the discount is the highest for year-end sale.

The discount might not be the same in all the dealers in all the cities across India so its better if you check with your nearest dealer for the exact discount being offered in your area. Another important thing is that not all the variants of Harrier get a discount in the region of Rs 1.75 lakh as lower variants usually spawn lower discounts.

The Tata Harrier is powered by a BS4 diesel engine which displaces 1956cc. This powerplant develops 138 bhp at 3750rpm and 350Nm of twisting force at 1750rpm. The engine is mated to only a 6-speed manual transmission. As of now, there is no automatic transmission on offer which is also a big reason for falling sales of the SUV.

Tata is now working on the BS6 version of the Harrier which will get a more powerful diesel engine along with the option of a torque converter automatic transmission for those who want one.
