The 2019 Ford Figo will come carrying some distinctive design and feature updates similar to the Aspire facelift, receives a new petrol engine
Ford Figo has been one of the bestsellers in the hatchback segment in the Indian market for quite some time. Introducing the new Ford Figo played a key role in boosting the car’s sales number. Now, with the Ford Aspire facelift already launched, the American auto major is gearing up to roll out the Ford Figo facelift. After months of launch speculations, the car is ready to hit showrooms in March 2019.
The 2019 Ford Figo will follow its sibling Ford Aspire when it comes to design and feature updates. Also, there would be a new petrol engine as well. This comes right after the launch of Ford Endeavour facelift in India. So, what are the changes we are going to see in the upcoming Ford Figo facelift?
There will be updated front and rear bumpers, tweaked headlamps, new alloy wheel design. A new honeycomb front grille inspired from Ford Freestyle will add zing to the hatchback. Inside the cabin, there will be Ford SYNC3 touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, same as the Freestyle and new Aspire sedan. New and improved upholstery, automatic climate control is also on the card.
The new Ford Figo facelift will impress us on safety front as well with dual airbags, ABS and EBD. Brake Assist and Hill-Start Assist like technology will add further zing to the car. To comply with the upcoming safety norms, Ford adds a seatbelt reminder and rear parking sensor to the car.
Speaking about the power source, the new Figo facelift will get a new 1.2-litre petrol engine from Dragon series. It will churn out around 94 bhp of peak power and 120 Nm of peak torque. Also, there will be the same 1.5-litre diesel motor under the hood. This engine will continue to kick out 98 bhp of power and 215 Nm of torque. Expect the engines to return better fuel efficiency.
