Honda could bring the new Brio in India with restyled appearance and more features

Honda Cars India has announced that the current Brio will be discontinued. But, good news is there is high chance it will be replaced by a new generation Brio. The new generation model of the hatchback has been already unveiled in the global market. Expect the new Brio to launch the sometime next year in India with a BS6 engine.

Honda Brio a practical city car and the new generation model will bring much needed freshness to it. There will be a revised front grille, new design headlamps and a restyled bumper as well. It could receive LED daytime running lights and projector headlamps. Moving to side profile, there would be new design wheels, sculpted look. At the back, revised taillights are expected.

Inside the cabin, the new Honda Brio will receive a host of changes bringing in a refreshing vibe. The touchscreen infotainment system is surely the big change there. Honda might add Apple CarPlay and Android Auto to this infotainment system. Steering wheel, instrument cluster, dashboard too could come with an updated look.

Seat and upholstery material too will come of improved quality. Also, there would be more space and comfort compared to the current model. The new generation model would don an all-black theme inside the cabin instead of dual-tone black and beige colour scheme. This will make the new model more appealing compared to the outgoing model.

On the powertrain front, the Honda Brio will be a BS6 emission norms compliant 1.2-litre petrol engine. This engine will be mated to a manual gearbox, while a CVT will be there as well. The engine is capable of churning out 88 bhp of peak power at 6,000 rpm and 110 Nm of torque at 4,800 rpm. Also, expect this petrol engine to deliver generous fuel efficiency for sure.
