RXE Rs 4,95,000
RXL Rs 5,49,000
RXT Rs 5,99,000

Renault Triber reminds us of Kwid from the front end. The Triber is based on the Datsun GO+ platform, hence, it shares the chassis and suspension system with the GO+. The Design, however, is a step ahead of the GO+ MPV. If we speak about the interior, Triber is leagues ahead of its rival GO+.

Renault Triber is positioned among the petrol-powered B-segment hatchback cars

Powering the Renault Triber is a 1-liter petrol engine which does its job in the Kwid too. However, the 999cc 3-cylinder engine is retuned to deliver more power and torque to deal with the added weight. The powerplant generates 71bhp at 6250rpm and 96Nm of torque at 3500rpm which is enough to move this 947 kg MPV. The car posses 182 mm ground clearance which is more than enough to drive anywhere in the country.

The company said that there are 20 features which are standard across all the variants from RXE to RXZ. Not only this, there are more than 100 seat configurations available in the car under 4 meters which is first in class. The instrument cluster is a LED unit. RXZ trim comes equipped with 4 airbags for enhanced safety and an 8-inch touchscreen MediaNav Evolution system.

The Dimensions of Triber is LXWXH 3090 mm X 1739 mm X 1643 mm. Wheelbase measures 2636 mm which is largest among all the B-segment Hatchback cars available in India right now. ARAI certified fuel efficiency is claimed to be around 20 kmpl which is not bad for the car of this size.

The rear boot space with all the seats up is mere 84 liters. However, with the third-row seats folded and removed the boot space increases to 625 liters which is substantial. The suspension system is McPherson Sturt at Front and Torsion Beam at the rear.

At this price range (Rs 4.95 lakh to 6.49 lakh), Triber will rival the WagonR and Hyundai Grand i10’s petrol variants. The company hopes to attract some customers from the B-segment towards the Triber as the car possess hell lot of features and spacious interior.
