New Renault Duster could launch in India in 2020 with a new design and BS-VI engine

Renault Duster has been in business for quite some time and he SUV is ready to don a new look in 2020. The new Renault Duster is being road-tested in India. As the spyshots have emerged, it looks like the SUV has received some significant design changes inside out. Likely to launch in 2020, the new Renault Duster will come with BS-Vi engine as well to comply with the upcoming emission norms.

New Renault Duster will feature a revised front grille and updated headlamps as well. Expect it to receive new LED daytime running lights. Also, it will come with updated bumpers, new design alloy wheels. However, taillights of the test mule appear the same as the current model, unlike the European market-spec Duster.

New Renault Duster

While the exterior goes through a host of cosmetic and feature updates, the interior of the SUV will sport a refreshed look as well. There would be improved quality upholstery. New touchscreen infotainment system and a new multifunction steering wheel too are on the card. However, it might not offer extra space, as dimensional change is unlikely. A sunroof could be there but in the top trim only. It could receive some features from the Renault Captur.

The new Renault Duster will get an updated 1.5-litre K9K diesel engine complying with BS-Vi engine. This will generate 108 bhp of peak power. The 84 bhp generating variant of the engine is likely to be discontinued. On the petrol front too, the Duster will see an update. This new Duster could come with a 6-speed manual gearbox and a 5-speed MT for the diesel and petrol variants respectively. Besides that, there will be an automatic unit and a CVT as well. We can expect to see the new Renault Duster making its presence at the 2020 Delhi Auto Expo before being launched here.
