Jeep India has launched the Compass Limited Plus at a price tag of Rs 21.07 lakh (ex-showroom). The petrol and diesel 4×4 varaints come priced at Rs 21.41 lakh and Rs 22.85 lakh (ex-showroom). Pricier by around Rs 1 lakh than the Limited (O), this is the new top-end trim of the SUV and it offers more to the buyers with an 8.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system, panoramic sunroof and six airbags. The Jeep Compass Limited Plus features same styling as the lower trims. However, the panoramic sunroof and new design alloy wheels add distinctiveness. Apart from that, the larger UConnect touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto enhances its premiumness. The sunroof helps in making the already spacious cabin feel more airy. Also, the Jeep Compass Limited Plus gets automatic headlamps, auto dimming rear view mirror and smart wipers as standard.

Safety wise, the tough looking SUV was available till date with dual front airbags only. But, the new top-end trim now gets six airbags multiplying safety for the occupants. Tan leather seats with power adjustable and memory function equipped front seats ensure more comfort. Speaking about its energy source, the Jeep Compass Limited Plus is powered by the same 1.4-litre turbo petrol and 2.0-litre Multijet II diesel engine as the rest of the variants.

Power and torque output of the new top-spec trim is also unchanged. Transmission options include a 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox for the petrol model, while the diesel one gets a 6-speed manual. Diesel powered Jeep Compass Limited Plus gets 4×2 and 4×4 options. While the new variant misses out on diesel-automatic combination, we hope the issue is addressed in near future. If Jeep India decided to offer diesel-automatic combination for the Compass, it will certainly add more appeal to the SUV.
