2019 Mahindra TUV300 receives new grille and smoked headlamps, the interior remains similar
When Mahindra launched the TUV300 compact SUV, it grabbed everyone’s attention thanks to a battle tank inspired design. The Mahindra TUV300 is the only ladder-frame modern SUV in its segment. This SUV was launched in 2015 and an update is due now. The Mahindra TUV300 facelift has been spied ahead of its launch.
As it appears, the Mahindra TUV300 retains the basic silhouette. However, there are slight changes across the exterior. These include a new radiator grille, an updated lower grille and smoked headlamps as well. At the side profile, the alloy wheels are the same as the outgoing model. The rear profile of the SUV boasts clear-lens taillights. While the exterior has received the above mentioned slight changes, the interior looks very identical.

Yes, there is no change inside the cabin. Be it the dashboard, the instrument cluster, steering wheel and seats – everything appears the same as the current model. We can expect a new grade to be introduced in the Mahindra TUV300 portfolio. This would be the T10 (O). This would arrive with some additional safety features. The slight changes at exterior increase its appeal further. But it would have been better if Mahindra updated the interior as well.
Speaking about the engine, the 1.5-litre mHawk100 turbocharged three-cylinder diesel engine will continue to work under the hood of Mahindra TUV300 facelift. This engine churns out 100 bhp of power at 3,750 rpm and 240 Nm of peak torque at 1,600-2,800 rpm. A 5-speed manual gearbox is there besides a 5-speed AMT.
So far, the Mahindra TUV300 was launched to compete against rivals like Ford EcoSport. No wonder, this segment is highly competitive because of the presence of models like Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza. In coming days, the competition is about to be enhanced as several other models are gearing up to launch in this space.
