Mahindra has launched its second off-road training academy in Mangalore
Mahindra has been one of the leading off-road focused vehicle manufacturers in India for a pretty long time. The homegrown auto brand has a wide range of SUVs, among which several models are immensely successful. Not only making off-road focused vehicles, but Mahindra has been developing the off-roading culture in India as well. In order to boost the effort, the brand has launched its second off-road academy in Mangalore.
This new Mahindra off-road academy will host custom-made courses for the corporates and these will be conducted by the Mahindra Adventure, the dedicated wing of the automaker. The new academy is spread across more than 150 acres and it offers state-of-the-art facilities and equipment that include wireless equipped Mahindra Thar 4×4 CRDe training vehicles.
The new academy in Mangalore will run two courses – Basic Level and Intermediate Level – Trail Survivor. On the other hand, the brand’s first academy in Igatpuri will continue with the Advanced Course. As the automaker claims, it is geared up to share the spirit of adventure with off-roading enthusiasts in the southern part of the country. The off-roading enthusiasts have been increasing steadily and Mahindra hopes to take a significant part in developing off-roading culture. Mahindra’s Igatpuri academy was set up in March 2013 and in last five years, it has trained over 1,600 drivers across the country.
