2019 Mahindra TUV300 refreshes its practical SUV

The Mahindra TUV300 facelift gets LED daytime running lights and piano black finish on the grille

When Mahindra & Mahindra launched the TUV300 SUV in India, it grabbed everyone’s attention thanks to the battle-tank inspired design. However, it is a different issue whether we liked the design or not. But, the compact SUV certainly came with a host of appealing note. But, it couldn’t fetch the desired sales result so far. Now, Mahindra has launched the 2019 TUV300 facelift with a host of changes.

The new Mahindra TUV300 comes with the redesigned front fascia. Despite the basic silhouette remaining same, it boasts new headlamps with LED daytime running lights, piano black finish on the front grille. The black chrome inserts, muscular side cladding, new X shaped metallic great spare wheel cover add zing to the SUV. So far, the TUV300 facelift has become bolder and more appealing as well. It looks sporty as well thanks to those black claddings and inserts across the exterior.

Available in seven different attractive colour options, the 2019 Mahindra TUV300 is offered in five different trim options. Inside the cabin, it gets a dual-tone black and beige dashboard with a touchscreen infotainment system at the centre console. A multifunction steering wheel is there with audio control buttons mounted on it. Seat and upholstery material quality has been improved.

Speaking about the engine, Mahindra TUV300 gets the powerful mHawk100 diesel engine that churns out 100 bhp of power and 240 Nm of torque output. It comes with Cushion Suspension Technology and optimized ride height ensuring better drive experience. The body shell is tough enough to offer great safety to the occupants’ thanks to high-strength steel.

Mahindra TUV300 shares its chassis with the very popular Mahindra Scorpio. Despite being a capable off-roader, this Mahindra SUV couldn’t fetch a significant sales number so far. But, with the new model launched, the brand is hoping to see a better picture in the coming days.
