Maruti Suzuki Baleno became the fastest car in India to cross 5 lakh sales milestone. The premium hatchback has achieved this feat in just 38 months, which is a record no other model has achieved so far in the country. Sold through the Nexa retail network, Maruti Suzuki Baleno comes as a very appealing product in the country.
The Maruti Suzuki Baleno is based on Suzuki’s much talked Heartect platform. It boasts a fluid design and houses several premium features like featuring projector headlamps, LED daytime running lights, LED inserts at taillights. Inside the cabin as well, the premium hatchback remains true to the premiumness with its host of features. The car gets mood back lighting at the instrument cluster, touchscreen infotainment system with various connectivity options.

In terms of space and comfort, the Maruti Suzuki Baleno impresses us with ample room on offer. Introduced in the Indian market in 2015, the hatchback has been selling around 13,157 units on an average every month, while its daily average is 438 units. Also, Maruti Suzuki Baleno has been among the top 10 cars in monthly sales results for long time. Priced between Rs 5.38 lakh and Rs 8.50 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), the Maruti Suzuki Baleno is available in both petrol and diesel engine options.
Petrol variant of Baleno gets an 83 bhp generating 1.2-litre engine, while the diesel powered model gets a 1.3-litre DDiS motor, which kicks out 74 bhp of peak power. Transmission options include a 5-speed manual gearbox and a CVT as well. However, the CVT gearbox is available with petrol powered Baleno only, not in diesel powered model. At later stage, Maruti Suzuki also introduced a sportier variant of the Baleno that sports the RS badge. It is powered by a 1.0-litre Boosterjet turbocharged petrol motor that kicks out 101 bhp of peak power.
