Despite being suppressed by Vitara Brezza’s aggressive sales performance, the Ford EcoSport is still a strong contender in this category. It comes priced between 7.83 lakh and Rs 11.90 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).

Hyundai Venue measures 3,995 mm in length, which is same as Vitara Brezza and just slightly bigger than Nexon. The EcoSport measures 3,998 mm becoming the longest among these four cars. Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza is the widest with 1,790 mm, while the Hyundai Venue is 20 mm slimmer.
Ford EcoSport is tallest among all of these models with 1,647 mm of height, while the bulky compact SUV also comes with longest wheelbase. Tata Nexon promises best ground clearance with 209 mm.

Hyundai Venue has been launched with two petrol and one diesel engine options. The petrol engines include a 1.2-litre unit, a 1.0-liutre turbocharger unit. On the other hand, the diesel model gets a 1.4-litre motor. The petrol engine is available with a 5-speed manual gearbox and it churns out 82 bhp of power and 115 Nm of torque. An 1.0-litre turbo-petrol motor is available with options of both 6-speed manual gearbox and 7-speed automatic gearbox. This engine kicks out 118 bhp of power and 172 Nm of torque.
The diesel variant of Hyundai Venue is equipped with a 6-speed manual transmission and it pumps out 89 bhp of power and 220 Nm torque. Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza is currently available with a 1.3-litre diesel engine only that is available with options of a 5-speed manual gearbox and an AMT as well. The engine churns out 89 bhp of power and 200 Nm of torque.
Tata Nexon on the other hand is available with both petrol and diesel engine options. The SUV gets a 1.2-litre petrol engine, while there is a 1.5-litre diesel motor as well. Availability of a manual gearbox and an AMT with both the petrol and diesel variants of the Tata Nexon has made it a very appealing model.
Ford EcoSport is available in both petrol and diesel options. The petrol model gets a 1.5-litre petrol engine and there is a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol motor as well. Also, there is a 1.5-litre TDCi diesel engine on offer as well. The car comes with a manual gearbox, while the petrol variants are offered with an automatic unit as well.
