Hyundai Venue connected SUV comes with ‘Blue Link’ connectivity solution, offers 33 remote connectivity functions

The much awaited connected SUV Hyundai Venue is finally here. Launched at an eye-popping starting price of of Rs 6.50 lakh (ex-showroom), this connected SUV gets ‘Blue Link’ connectivity solutions that helps the owner to perform a host of functions remotely. Price goes up to Rs 11.10 lakh (ex-showroom). Interestingly, a major number of these functions are India-specific. This Ford EcoSport and Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza rivalling SUV has already bagged more than 2,000 bookings.

Artificial intelligence, robotics, green powertrain technology are the elements in automotive industry that have been being discussed for quite some time. In this scenario, the Hyundai Venue connected SUV appears to be a pioneer in the Indian auto market. The SUV boasts Vodafone-Idea e-SIM integrated to the car’s system that connects the owner’s smartphone with the car.

In terms of design, the car adopts the brand’s latest design theme. A large front grille, sharp headlamps, LED daytime running lights are there. It gets best-in-class projector fog lamps. Also, the connected SUV comes with stylish alloys, while the side profile looks bold enough. At the rear, the car features compact LED taillights with crystal effects.

This connected SUV from Hyundai is available in three different engine options. One is the 1.0-litre Kappa T-GDi petrol engine that kicks out 118 bhp of power at 6,000 rpm and 171 Nm of torque between 1,500 and 4,000 rpm. It is available with options of 6-speed manual gearbox and a 7-speed DCT gearbox.

There is a 1.2-litre petrol and a 1.4-litre diesel motor as well. The bigger petrol motor generates 82 bhp of power output and it is mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. The diesel engine on the other hand pumps out 88 bhp of power at 4,000 rpm. It is coupled with a 6-speed manual transmission. Hyundai also promises 3 years/unlimited km warranty and 3 years roadside assistance as well.
