Hyundai Venue is the next big launch in India scheduled for May 21, brings many first-in-class features
Hyundai has finally unveiled the Venue, in India and in New York Motor Show simultaneously. The Hyundai Venue has been one of the most awaited cars in the country for quite a long time. Scheduled to launch here on May 21, the compact SUV will challenge rivals like Tata Nexon, Maruti Vitara Brezza and Ford EcoSport.
The USP of the new SUV is a host of connected car technology in it. Yes, it is the first connected car of India with BlueLink technology. It gets a Vodafone-Idea eSIM that helps the car’s system to perform a wide range of tasks with one touch from the owner’s smartphone. This cloud-based technology aids in a total of 33 tasks among whom 10 are India-specific features. The connected car features include safety, amenities and convenience functions.
Design of the Hyundai Venue is pretty eye-catching. It boasts a theme similar to the Hyundai Kona. Sleek LED daytime running lights, squarish headlamps below them with chrome trim and projector lamps, a large cascading grille enhance its visual appeal. Moving to the side profile, the wheels, compact LED taillights at rear increase its appeal further.
Hyundai Venue promises to deliver a strong road presence, refreshing driving experience and seamless connectivity. No wonder, it will change the definition of how we communicate with our cars. It also promises high-level safety thanks to 69% advanced high strength steel built body structure, host of features.
Engine options for the new compact SUV include three different fuel efficient motors. A 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine, 1.2-litre petrol motor and a 1.4-litre diesel unit as well. What’s more interesting is the introduction of 7-speed dual-clutch transmission in this car. This DCT makes the Venue the only car in its segment to have such feature. Also, there will be a 5-speed manual and a 6-speed manual gearbox.
