Tata Harrier

Tata Harrier price could range between Rs 16-21 lakh (on-road), bookings begins today.

Tata Harrier price is a widely searched keyword in the internet now and the SUV is expected to be priced between Rs 16-21 lakh (on-road). With such pricing and the combo of highly advanced features and a Land Rover Discovery inspired design, the Tata Harrier will certainly invoke inferiority complex among many SUVs in India, which include the Hyundai Creta and Jeep Compass.

Tata Harrier, internally codenamed as H5X already garnered pretty good attention from the customers when the brand revealed its concept version at the 2018 Delhi Auto Expo. Now, Tata Motors has opened the booking for this upcoming SUV across India at an amount of Rs 30,000 ahead of its launch in early January, 2019. Surely, this could be a game-changer for the homegrown automaker.

Tata Harrier SUV

The SUV is based on Omega architecture derived from Land Rover. This lightweight and rigid platform ensures a comfortable and stable ride. In terms of styling too, Tata Motors has taken inputs from Land Rover. As the concept model suggests, Tata Harrier will come with a butch appearance grabbing attention at the very first glance. Inside, it will have six and seven seater layout options along with a large touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a Harman audio system etc. So far, the SUV could get inspiration from Tata Nexon and Tata Hexa.

Speaking about its engine, the Harrier will be powered by a 2.0-litre Kryotec diesel engine. Transmission options will include a 6-speed manual gearbox and a Hyundai-sourced 6-speed automatic unit as well. Expect the diesel motor to churn out generous amount of power and torque output. An impressive fuel efficiency is expected from the engine.
