Tata premium hatchback (45X) will compete with rivals like Maruti Suzuki Baleno, Honda Jazz and Hyundai Elite i20
Tata Motors have been working on its upcoming premium hatchback 45X for quite some time. Test mules of the premium hatchback have been spied several times. Now, reports reveal the Maruti Suzuki Baleno, Honda Jazz and Hyundai Elite i20 rivaling car will be launched in August 2019. The concept version of Tata 45X has already garnered pretty good attention and the production model too promises to offer something exciting.
Tata 45X will come donning the brand’s latest Impact 2.0 design language. It will certainly arrive loaded with host of advanced features and a fresh styling for sure. The premium hatchback will be the homegrown automaker’s second model to be themed around the new Impact 2.0 design language, right after the Tata Harrier, which is scheduled to launch in early next year.
The Tata 45X is expected to come with class leading wheel size, large and protruding wheelarches, a neat and clean surface, segment leading touchscreen infotainment system etc. There will be a T shaped centre console adding zing to the cabin. Expect the Tata premium hatchback to offer generous space and comfort to the occupants.
Speaking about the powertrains to be offered with the Tata 45X, the car is likely to get the same 1.2-litre petrol and 1.5-litre diesel engines as the Tata Nexon. However, these engines will churn out more power and torque output compared to the Nexon compact SUV. A 6-speed manual transmission will be there, while a dual-clutch gearbox too will be on offer with the Tata 45X.
