Your next Zoomcar hiring could be a Tata Tigor EV

Tata Tigor EV will be one of the 500 self-driven electric cars in Zoomcar fleet, currently available in Pune

Tata Motors has partnered with Zoomcar to promote electric mobility and shared mobility both. The self-drive car rental platform will have a fleet of 500 electric cars from Tata Motors. One of them will be the Tata Tigor EV that was already showcased at 2018 Delhi Auto Expo. The Tata Tigor EV under this partnership is currently available for the Zoomcar customers in Pune.

The number of shared mobility is rapidly rising in the country. The Indian government has been promoting electric mobility. This partnership between Tata Motors and Zoomcar will promote both and it will help in reducing air pollution as well. These fleet of Tata electric cars will be available through Zoomcar platform in 20 cities across India by 2019 end.

Tata Tigor

Tata Motors has already developed the Tiago EV and Tigor EV. Apart from that, the homegrown automaker is also working on an electric variant of Tata Nano. All the models in the current lineup are expected to receive electric variants in the next decade. So far, Tata aims to be a key player in the Indian EV market.

Tata Motors has already bagged a significant part of EESL’s huge electric vehicle fleet order. The automaker is also keen to set up an EV charging station network as well. This will provide the electric vehicle customers with a better experience. Meanwhile, shared mobility concept is growing fast in India thanks to the platforms like Uber and Ola.

The self-driving car service has seen an increase in demand in the last couple of years. Specially, the young generation people love to take the self-driving cars on rent instead of buying a new car. This saves the hard earned money but offers the pleasure of self-driving at the same time. Considering that, the partnership between Tata and Zoomcar marks a milestone in the Indian shared mobility and electric vehicle market.
