Tata Harrier SUV India launch will mark the debut of the brand’s Omega architecture, derived from Land Rover Discovery

Tata Harrier is one of the most anticipated cars in India. The upcoming SUV will launch here on January 23, 2019. The Tata Harrier SUV India launch will mark the debut of the homegrown brand’s new platform, christened as Omega. The Tata Harrier launch will also mark the arrival of the brand’s new flagship model. Expect the Tata Harrier price to start from Rs 15 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).

The Tata Harrier will be available in two different seating layout options. Showcased as the Tata H5X concept at 2018 Delhi Auto Expo, this has been one of the most awaited models from the brand. The SUV will challenge rivals like Jeep Compass, Hyundai Creta and Mahindra XUV500 as well. Tata Harrier booking has already commenced across the country at an amount of Rs 30,000.

The Tata Harrier will follow the Impact 2.0 design language. It comes with a very muscular and chunky appearance. The SUV gets a host of premium features inside out. The interior will offer ample space to the occupants. Also, there will be a touchscreen infotainment system, a sleek piano black centre console. The gear shifter comes with a very appealing look. It could get a puddle lamp, ambient lighting like premium features. A premium audio system will be there as well.

The Tata Harrier specifications include a 2.0-litre Kryotec diesel engine, as the brand has already revealed. This will be mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox. A Hyundai-sourced 6-speed automatic unit will be there as well. The engine will certainly churn out generous power and torque amount.
