The much awaited new generation 2018 Hyundai Santro (AH2) will be launched in India on October 23, 2018. Before that, the South Korean automaker will unveil the car on October 9, 2018. While the name is yet to be disclosed officially, it is widely speculated that this upcoming model will mark the rebirth of iconic Hyundai Santro. The automaker has already unveiled the design sketch of AH2 only and started the naming competition as well.
As Hyundai claims, this is going to be a modern tallboy. The design sketch reveals that this upcoming car will bear a stylish design in line with the brand’s current styling language. There will be sharp headlamps, large trapezoidal front grille, crisp character lines, sporty alloy wheels, compact LED taillights. As it appears, the car will arrive with the design cue from original Santro blending with the modern styling elements.
Hyundai Santro has been one of the most iconic hatchbacks in India and this model gave the brand strong footprint in India during its initial days in the country. Though, Hyundai discontinued the Santro, but it still draws queries from the buyers. No wonder, Hyundai couldn’t ignore that and decided to bring the Santro again. However, the name is expected to be different this time.
